03-Lötschberg Panoramaweg
MODERATE (2.3/10)Steinegga → Eischtli
A rewarding day in the mountains — the 03-Lötschberg Panoramaweg packs 11.0 km and 1,159 m of climbing into a 5h 06min day. Running from Steinegga to Eischtli, the trail spans an elevation range of 1,540 m to 2,690 m. At 105 m/km, this is one of the steeper profiles you'll find.
The route breaks into 9 segments. The toughest stretch is the 1.1 km from Schilthorn to Hockenhorn, climbing 218 m — an unrelenting 198 m/km grade. In contrast, the 1.7 km from Ferdenrothorn to Balmhorn is much gentler — mostly downhill with 317 m of descent.
